Hello my name is Mark Deyab, LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker), psychotherapist, life coach and author. Welcome to my web site.

I have been a behavioral health provider for over 35 years, 25 years as psychotherapist and life coach and 10 years as a psychiatric emergency service/crisis clinician and counselor, inpatient psychiatric counselor and group psychotherapy facilitator. Additionally, with over a decade of experience in the advertising industry, I borrow from the roles of strategic planner, marketing communications specialist and brand personality manager to empower my patients.. With these varied experiences, I am uniquely equipped with the emotional intelligence, ability to think critically and pragmatism to help patients solve emotional, interpersonal, career, business and academic problems. 

Along with my breadth of experience in the behavioral health and advertising domains, I draw my Christian faith when patients are interested in incorporating a spiritual approach as part of his/her treatment plan.

My educational background includes a Post Graduate degree from Phillips Exeter Academy, a BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master's in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Boston College. Of course, academic knowledge and degrees matter, but from my perspective what is more important is the sacred bond that is formed between patient and therapist which requires on my part such qualities as trustworthiness, wisdom, compassion, passion, patience and a servant’s heart.  Finally, my committed to helping clients’ growth by cultivating an intentional process and purpose. 

I am a husband, father, proponent of the concept of learning for life, avid reader of both fictional and non-fictional works (feel free to ask for any suggestions or view a list of Recommended Books via the Resources tab), writer, habitual exerciser, and athlete (or former athlete and sports fan might be more apt!).
