LIFE COACHING

Life coaching focuses both present and future possibilities. This brand of coaching is a collaborative engagement whereby the coach or mentor empowers a client to identify and leverage character traits, strengths, skills and passions to reach personal and/or professional goals. The coach also works with the client to identify and remove any barriers that are getting in the way of reaching these goals. The approach is client-centered, tailored to individuial needs and abilities and encourages follow through with strategies and concepts outside of the sessions. The coaching is based on timeless principles and virtues, forward thinking, optimistic, philosophical, strategic, and encourages follow through with concepts and strategies outside of the sessions.

Common issues and themes which are addressed in life coaching include: creating a growth plan, developing a process orientation, participation in formal and informal learning for life, engaging with mentors or experts in a chosen field or area interest, identification of small wins, advancing the capacity to think critically, establishing active listening skills, developing positive habits, building self-discipline, becoming more resilient, building time management/proactive planning skills, scheduling for balance/developing a balanced lifestyle, cultivating assertive communication skills, developing an optimistic explanatory style, clarification of values, negotiating win-win agreements, creating flow, creating a multifaceted identity, broadening one’s perspective, growing spirituality, allowing for restoration and renewal, sustaining excellence, fostering humility, crafting appropriate narratives, and more.

An Initial consultation is $200 and follow up sessions are $150 per hour. Health insurance doesn't cover this service. .
